Literacy Support SpecialistWF8- Part time availableAre you passionate about promoting literacy and empowering individuals to excel in their reading and writing skills? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Literacy Support Specialist to join our team in the WF8 area. As a Literacy Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of students, helping them develop essential literacy skills and fostering a love for learning.
  • Provide targeted literacy support to students of various age groups and abilities.
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual learning needs and create personalized literacy intervention plans.
  • Deliver engaging and effective one-on-one or small group sessions to improve reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • Utilize a range of teaching resources and techniques to make learning engaging and accessible to all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to ensure a holistic approach to students’ literacy development.
  • Monitor and track students’ progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting self-confidence and motivation among students.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in literacy support, tutoring, or teaching is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of literacy development and relevant teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about empowering students to achieve their literacy goals.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools and data-driven approaches to tailor interventions.
