What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business
  • Record keeping and filing
  • Reception/telephone support
  • Microsoft Word experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Data input into Sage business systems
  • Credit control & Sales ledger
  • Ad hoc reports – daily, weekly and monthly

You gain experience of working with a small accountancy practice established in Plymouth. You will work and learn towards gaining your Level 3 AAT Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting). You will be given instruction and mentoring to attain the qualifiaction both from the employer and the training provider

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the Level 3 there is a progression to Level 4 Apprenticeship in Accounting for a higher level accountancy position .On successful completing of the course the candidate could be offered a permenant position .
