Hart Reade LLP are seeking to recruit a full time legal secretary to work for a Partner(s) in our Eastbourne Family Department.

Applicants should have excellent secretarial skills including fast accurate audio typing, along with confidence and ability in using IT. This will include a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and using online services.

You will be required to prepare Court bundles using Adobe for uploading to the Court online portal. Experience of using a case management system would also be an advantage but not essential. We will provide training for both.

The role requires someone who is highly organised, with a keen attention to detail and who thrives working within a team.

Candidates will be required to have good written and spoken English and the ability to communicate well with clients, colleagues and other external contacts. We pride ourselves on the client care we provide; therefore, applicants should be confident and personable both on the telephone and face to face, and willing to go ‘the extra mile’.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, motivated and prepared to work hard in a busy office environment. Previous experience of working in a law firm is essential, with good knowledge of family law also being an advantage.
