An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Case Progression Officer to work for our public sector client based in Barking.
The successful applicant will have an understanding of legal processes, a demonstrative knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and be able to prepare legal case files to be presented at court.
The role offers flexible working, with two days in the office in Barking and three days from home.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of legal processes, a demonstrative knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and be able to prepare legal case files to be presented at court.
The role offers flexible working, with two days in the office in Barking and three days from home.
Key duties will include:
- General administrative duties relating to enforcement and assist in the preparation of court bundles for presentation to the legal team
- Support officers with case management files including obtaining and collating information such as witness statements, interview notes from PACE interviews, correct processing of unused materials, CCTV and other evidence provided by case officers
- Support the team in the preparation of enforcement case files, including prosecutions, service of notices and databases are up to date in accordance with GDPR
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and be the single point of contact with legal services for all legal queries, additional evidence requirements for court or unresolved legal matters
- Support Environmental Enforcement Officers and legal representatives at court where required
- Evaluate prosecution files and provide support to officers in respect of disclosure, legal advice and guidance to ensure case files are prepared in accordance with policy, procedure and legislation
- To monitor case workload and liaise with officers during investigations
- To perform system administration functions ensuring Civica is updated with case progression notes and case files documentation
