Senior Finance Analyst

£40 per hour (via umbrella)

Temporary role for up to 6 months

Wolverhampton - Hybrid (3 days in office) - occasional travel to Banbury may be required

Adecco have a new opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst, our client is a leader in technology for the global aerospace and defence industry.

Job Purpose:

A commercially astute analyst, providing accurate and timely analysis to support key stakeholders within the business to support decision-making and contribute to the achievement of business goals and objectives

A curious mindset, someone who constantly reviews and challenges the data who can identify risks and opportunities in current processes and challenge the status quo. Focus on driving improved performance, process excellence and cost control through partnering with key stakeholders

Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering with Engineering and Technology Program Teams
  • Responsible for understanding financial risk & opportunities across all Engineering projects within the Value Stream
  • Working closely with project managers to ensure project performance is on track and delivered to plan
  • Partnering the Cost reduction team to ensure Value Engineering projects are achieving their milestones
  • Supporting the Engineering & Program team with program governance and financial proposals
  • Preparation of the monthly accounts, journal entries and variance analysis
  • Preparation of Management Reports and Forecast Packs
  • Creation of Forecast and Long Range Plan
  • Responsible for inputs and modelling of financial data to support investment requests (Value engineering, CAPEX)
  • Monitor and track savings generated from investments to approved projects/plan
  • Support local internal and external audits
  • Support wider Value Stream Finance Team
Skills and experience

Essential
  • Qualified or working towards a recognized accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Self-starter with a ’can do’ attitude and a curious mind
  • Drives change
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to articulate complex financial problems to non-financial individuals
  • Teamwork - Including cross functional
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex situations to aid decision making
  • ERP systems, specifically SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Great interpersonal skills to be an effective business partner
Desirable
  • Tableau / BI / Equivalent
  • Project Management Experience
