About The Role

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Occupational Psychology, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Undergraduate and Postgraduate level teaching. You will be required to contribute specialist teaching in your field of expertise, alongside contributions to the broader BPS core curriculum.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of the department and meet the requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise. A commitment to knowledge exchange and impact-related work are expected from all of our research-active staff.

You will be joining a highly research active department, with all of our teaching being research-informed, and with excellent student satiation (2nd in the North West and 35/116 nationally in NSS 2022).

About You

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Occupational Psychology, you will:
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and student support, with specialist knowledge to contribute to teaching on our occupational and work psychology modules.
  • Show commitment to producing high quality research and knowledge exchange.
  • Have excellent coaching and mentorship skills as they relate to supporting our students’ pastoral support and career development needs.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. A promising (lecturer) or established (senior lecturer) research profile in psychology, and previous teaching experience on BPS accredited programmes is essential.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience.
