Lecturer in Science (Health and Social Care focused)
22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Pro rata of £21,298 - £37,387 (£12,778.80 - £22,432.20) per annum
Crawley College seeks an inspirational Lecturer to join the existing Health and Social Care teaching team. The College is excited to be offering the T-Level Health and Healthcare & Science courses from the new academic year as well as the Transition to Health course, which includes GCSE Science. This is a pivotal time in education with regard to the changes of courses offered within FE and the suitable candidate will have a drive to create an outstanding provision.
You will have experience of teaching Science at GCSE level and above as well as having a passion to support students succeed. The role is focused on the teaching of all science elements particularly relevant to the Health and Social Care sector and therefore this will include such topics as radiography, monitoring of patient health statistics, the effects of illness on the body and chemical change. It would be an advantage to have knowledge of the UCAS system in order to support all of our learners in applying for the next step in their learning journey. In addition, you may be required to plan and deliver Anatomy to students on the busy existing Health and Social Care course.
You will enjoy developing accessible learning materials for all students and be able to respond to their learning and pastoral needs. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to excellence and student success.
Experience of using Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) as well as teaching online through Teams, or similar platforms, to improve the learning experience would also be beneficial.
