You will be support teaching delivery for our BSc Criminology.

About The Role

This degree was launched in 2019, has a yearly intake of 45-55, and is delivered by a staff group who are committed to excellence in learning and teaching. You will join a dynamic community of researchers and benefit from the full range of support we offer to our early career colleagues, including mentoring and support from our research office.

About You

We are looking for an individual to contribute to our core undergraduate criminology provision, therefore you will require an excellent general knowledge of criminological theory and concepts, as well as key debates and current issues in criminology. The ability to serve as an Academic Tutor and Dissertation Supervisor and in those roles support students undertaking projects is also key.

About The Department

The BSc Criminology is delivered by the Department of Social and Policy Sciences, one of the UK’s leading centres for social policy research and teaching excellence, committed to interdisciplinary and impactful research. Our academic staff represent a range of disciplinary backgrounds, including social and public policy, sociology, social work, international development, and criminology.

The proposed start date is 1st September 2022. This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 31/08/2023.
