LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS

Salary:WMAT pay scale WA3 6-12, full time equivalent £17,457 - £20,443 (Actual starting salary £11,126)

Hours: 26.67 per week, term time only 39 weeks per year

Closing Date: 3rd September 2021

Due to our client’s school being oversubscribed and growing they are looking to appoint suitably qualified Learning Support Assistants. The school are looking for candidates who could be available for 26.67 hours per week over five days. Fewer days can be considered for the right candidate. There may also be some additional paid duties such as break and after school clubs on offer. Candidates should ideally have experience of working with young people; have excellent communication skills and a good general level of education.

The role involves working closely with teaching staff to provide in class support and to work with small groups. Successful candidates will be supporting all subjects across the curriculum but should feel free to identify any particular subject strengths in their application.

The role will also involve assisting students with physical disabilities and/or physical impairments to move around the school site.
