Learning Resources Coordinator
Full Time - Salisbury Campus
Salary - £24,086 per annum
The Learning Resources Coordinator will work closely with curriculum departments to identify, acquire, and promote relevant learning resources as part of an accessible collection of physical and digital resources that meet curriculum requirements. You will also support the relevant study skills such as referencing, research and assignment writing through online and face to face sessions.
An excellent communicator, ideally you have experience of libraries (or education environments) and of managing a team, be flexible and proactive in dealing with a changing workload and have good digital skills.

About the Role
Based at Salisbury, the Learning Resources Coordinator will develop and deliver sector-leading information literacy, digital literacy and study skills to staff and students, identifying opportunities for learning resources which will enhance the student experience and provide high levels of support to meet the demands of the evolving the curriculum.
Duties include:

  • Developing and promoting the College resources portfolio to support an outstanding student experience.
  • Identifying opportunities to support the curriculum through learning resources and user education. Producing digital learning materials in a variety of media.
  • Regular review of resources and services to help inform service development.
  • Providing second-line information, advice and guidance to students and staff using a range of methods including digital platforms.
  • Maintaining department spaces that promote creativity and collaboration.
  • Maintaining the library management system and other resource services.
  • Organising and attending College events. Ensuring LRC events reflect the College’s commitment to Equality and Diversity.
  • Updating the Learning Resources intranet pages (via Sharepoint) as and when required.
  • Maintaining a tailored focus on HE students – facilitating access to the relevant partner university/organisation resources, as well as the College’s own. Liaising with HE colleagues to ensure resources, communications and study skills sessions are aligned to respective HE levels.
  • Participating in safeguarding in accordance with the College’s policy and procedures.

About You
Able to demonstrate equivalent experience, you will have excellent communication and people management skills. You will be analytical and organised in identifying opportunities to promote the Learning Resources Centres, ensuring staff have skills to provide an up to date digital and physical service. You will ensure that study areas reflect the needs of students and that they have the necessary training and guidance from staff in accessing learning materials. You should have first rate customer service skills and be committed to providing an outstanding service to all LRC users.
