Learning Disability Reviewer

Permanent, Full Time & Part Time

Up to £34,017 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

Closing Date: 20th July 2021

Due to multiple roles being available in the team, full-time and part-time candidates will be considered for this role.

The LeDeR Learning Disability review programme aims to review the deaths of all people with learning disability in order to identify ways we can improve the health and social care system, offer health equality and prevent premature deaths.

The roles will be part of an integrated Health Equalities team, which works on behalf of all 7 CCGs and 3 Local Authorities across the County of Essex but is hosted by Essex County Council. You will receive support from the Local Area Coordinator, Senior Reviewer and regular meetings with other reviewers.

LeDeR reviews can be complex and require the ability to engage with bereaved families, sift and draw conclusions from a range of information sources and present sometimes findings in a clear and understandable way.

About Us

With us, you can achieve more – for yourself as well as the vulnerable adults you work to support. We encourage our teams to share their ideas and experience. We work together to get things done. Bring your positive, proactive attitude, and we’ll empower you to make the most of your experience as a Learning Disability Reviewer within Essex County Council (ECC) Adult Social Care services.

About You

The LeDeR reviewers should be qualified health or social care professionals with experience of working with people with learning disability and professional registration should be maintained throughout this post.

Secondments and flexible employment options will be considered.

You will need access to a car and a driving license for this role.

What we offer in return

We’ll support you to be to your best, with the resources, training and development to empower you. With flexible working options and other lifestyle benefits, we’ll enable you to make the most of your life outside work, too.
