As a Learning Designer/Coordinator at Penny Petroleum, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the knowledge, skills & capability of all our colleagues through the creation, management, and maintenance of face-to-face training and eLearning content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design engaging and effective learning solutions that align with our business objectives.

This role would suit someone looking to take hold of the learning agenda and deliver a refreshing, brililant & engaging programmes ranging from compliance to leadership catering for all job levels. Although this is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months, this role may lead to a permanent opportunity.

Benefits:

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Content Design:

  • Develop and design interactive and engaging training and eLearning modules, courses, and resources.
  • Utilise instructional design principles to create content that facilitates effective learning experiences.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements, including videos, simulations, and quizzes, to enhance learning..

Content Maintenance:

  • Regularly update and revise existing library of learning (including eLearning) content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Monitor and address any technical issues or glitches in eLearning platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and eLearning design.

Learning Coordination:

  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and objectives.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and webinars.
  • Track and report on the progress and completion of training initiatives.

LMS Management:

  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including user account management and content uploads.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues using the LMS and troubleshoot any issues.

Induction and Role-Specific Training:

  • Develop comprehensive training materials for new colleague inductions.
  • Create role-specific training programs that align with job responsibilities and career pathways.

Leadership Programme and Development Pathways:

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs to cultivate leadership skills among colleagues.
  • Establish clear development pathways to support career progression.

Upskilling Others for Classroom and 1-on-1 Learning:

  • Train and mentor other team members or subject matter experts to deliver classroom and 1-on-1 learning experiences.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in training delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in learning content design and development.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their administration.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Adaptability and willingness to stay current with industry trends.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience designing learning in a retail environment.
  • Experience designing learning for a fuel forecourt.
