Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users’ needs.

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting component and product integration.
  • Managing product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down.
  • Driving validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
  • Defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams.
  • Managing interface between components and execution organizations.
  • Driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components.
  • Managing the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
  • Understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function.
  • Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Communicating across direct organization. Presenting to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
  • Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a degree in a technical discipline and experience in a subsea control system engineering role.
  • Have extensive technical knowledge of the subsea control system is essential, in-depth technical knowledge of the specific platform(s) is preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience in handling multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where priorities can often change at short notice.
  • Demonstrate a track record in interacting effectively with clients and across a matrix structure at all levels in an organisation.
  • Have excellent communication & presentation skills.
