Lead Signal Processing Engineer
This Lead Signal Processing Engineer vacancy is based in Oxford, UK with an award winning medtech startup who have developed a contactless in-home device for patients involved in clinical trials. They are partnered with several leading universities, hospitals, experts in the field and are now rolling out their tech across multiple continents with one of the largest pharma companies in the world.
They have extensive funding with years of runway and you’ll be joining at an exciting stage of growth; contributing to the technological foundations on which their products will be based for years to come.
As a Lead Signal Processing Engineer, you will also be tasked with founding and growing the Signal Processing team.
Primary responsibilities
- Design and develop signal processing algorithms to extract useful information and actionable insight
- Research, assess and select suitable sensors to capture relevant acoustic, vital signs and environmental data that can be incorporated into future versions of their electronic devices
- Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses, measure performance, identify sources of error and limitations in hardware and algorithms
Required experience
- MSc or PhD in Digital Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering or similar
- As this is a Leading role, you must have extensive industry experience working with digital signal processing and sensors, preferably with radar sensors, acoustic sensors or wireless sensors
- Experience as a Signal Processing Engineer in the medical sector is highly sought after
- Strong Mathematics or Physics background
- Strong RF understanding
- C++ or Python
- MATLAB
