Partner with the best

An integral part of a global team driving continuous improvement in functional capability – People, Systems, Process. Working closely with the Site procurement leaders and their teams to identify and deliver specific projects to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness in the global function and external supply chain in Baker Hughes Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore in Newcastle (UK) and Niteroi (Brazil).

As Lead Procurement Specialist - Global Capability, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, owning, and delivering benefits cases and transformation projects for continuous improvement in functional capability - People, Systems, Process, and the external supply chain. Including but not limited to:
  • Strategy and plans to mitigate single and sole source vulnerability - including cross functional management of new material & supplier qualifications projects.
  • Developing and implementing a multi-functional category management approach.
  • Supply chain and functional risk management, demand & forecast analysis, strategic actions.
  • Leading deployment of new business systems and tools.
  • Driving value creation and savings methodology.
  • Engaging with and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Have proven experience leading and influencing others.
  • Have demonstrable technical mindset and approach with attention to detail.
  • Have great interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Be organised with a focus on outcomes and the ability to manage multiple projects/activities to deadline.
  • Be fluent in English (spoken and written).
