We are seeking dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Lead Practitioners to lead our Gynae and CEPOD team of theatre scrubs and theatre support workers in our Theatre Suite in NPH.

We are looking for a senior scrub nurse with the experience of driving change to deliver safe, caring and effective patient care in innovative ways that is looking for the next step in their career pathway.

A key part of the role will be developing the team and services to ensure we have staff with the appropriate skills and attributes. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and motivational skills in order to bring your team along with you for the delivering the excellent operating experience for our patients during the covid19 period

In support of the Theatre Clinical Manager, the post holder is responsible for the operational management of specific specialties within the theatre department; including budgetary awareness, clinical governance, and staff development and training.

In conjunction with the other Lead Practitioners is responsible for the operational management of the Operating Department in the absence of the Clinical Theatre Manager. The post holder will have responsibility for effective theatre utilisation, ensuring lists start promptly, delays are minimised and throughput is maintained.

The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi- disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.
