NOW Education is currently working closely with a small but growing behavioural school in the heart of the midlands that is looking to secure a Maths Specialist to become their Maths Lead and Maths Teacher.

This role would be to deliver Maths in the morning, working across all classes in the school throughout the week. Delivering KS2, KS3 and Functional Skills Maths. Your afternoons would be based developing the curriculum and schemes of work and working with teaching staff to improve the delivery of Maths across the school.

We are looking for an established Maths Lead or someone looking to take that step up. An ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and build relationships with both students and staff alike. Have the ability to understand and develop hard to reach children. Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the staff team to create passionate and engaging delivery of maths throughout the school. You will be resilient in your approach, and work closely with the leadership team to improve outcomes for students.

An ideal candidate would have experience dealing with challenging behaviours, and will have a proven track record in Secondary education. While its advantageous to have experience in SEMH settings, this role may suit someone that wants to move away from mainstream teaching but still has a passion for working with children.

This is a permanent contract direct with the school for the remainder of this year, with a view to becoming an ongoing permanent position. The school would be looking to take someone on to start as soon as possible but would be happy to wait until January for the right candidate.
