We’re looking for a teacher of Humanities (Geography, History and a second subject) to join our team starting in September 21. Ideally you would have QTS and some knowledge of specific learning difficulties and a variety of behaviour management strategies to support children with SEMH and behavioural difficulties.
Our school is an independent special school with fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils. We offer the chance to teach in an environment where the emphasis is on excellent classroom practice with groups of up to 6 pupils and relationships are the key to success. Therefore, we need hardworking, child centred staff who are resilient and willing to go the extra mile. We are looking for someone with drive and a willingness to go the extra mile to improve the lives of the young people in our care. Strong inter-personal skills, team working and a sense of humour are also vital. You would also be expected to contribute to the wider school curriculum – for example offsite trips and outdoor education. We are happy to consider unqualified teachers with direct experience with SEMH students and NQT’s/ECT’s.
