The post is based in the Institute of Education for Medical and Dental Sciences (IEMDS) in the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN).
The Senior Clinical Lecturer post is up to 50% of full-time and will lead the ongoing development and delivery of the University’s admissions to medicine (MBChB), Gateway to Medicine (G2M) and Masters in Physician Associate Studies (PA) programmes.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be a clinical academic with an interest in, and recent experience of, admissions to medical programmes. We are looking for a colleague who will provide leadership and promote collaboration to deliver excellence in our admissions processes and ensure that they are accessible, fair and transparent and of the highest standard. The successful applicant will develop strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including the central University admissions and widening access leads, the MBChB and PA programme leads, colleagues involved in admissions in other educational institutions and with schools in the region.

The postholder will also contribute to teaching, assessment and to the work of the curriculum management groups and educational quality assurance.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical Staff Salary Scale (£70,560 - £90,488 per annum and pro rata based on the FTE).

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
