Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and Onshore Focal Points, the role will require but not be limited to the following

Bilfinger UK are currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer to act as a Lead Fabric Maintenance Engineer for work scopes and activities in support of the Operational Delivery Teams, associated with the implementation of maintenance, engineering and project support to ensure that all Client and Company’s operational, commercial and HSEQ expectations and targets are met. This position will also act at the contract Focal Point for all QAQC requirements and checks. To Engineer and Develop all Fabric Maintenance work scopes. Integration with the onshore / offshore FM team to support general FM deliverables CUI / PFP etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Good working knowledge of core disciplines i.e. Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation, Passive Fire Protection.
  • Appreciation of specialist disciplines i.e. Specialist Cleaning, Minor Modifications, Inspection, abseiling etc.
  • Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Required to be mobilise offshore to carry out Fabric Maintenance surveys and prepare / complete reports.
  • Preparation and close-out of work packs and / or work instructions.
  • Raise job cards for offshore activities.
  • Provide seamless cover to the asset & client in the absence / leave period of the Asset Focal Point.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems (Maximo / SAP).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel / Word / PowerPoint).
  • Excellent safety awareness through exposure to offshore environments.
  • Conversant in Safety and Operational requirements within the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Experience in similar roles within FM/EPC Specialist Company.
  • Experience of leading, coaching and developing a team.
  • Engage with external bodies to ensure that Bilfinger continue to provide best industry practice in the field of Fabric Maintenance.
  • Good understanding of operational planning and delivery.
  • Experience in quality management.
  • Super user of the chosen digital interface; SAM for development of workscopes, and close out of QAQC.
  • Preparation of CTRs, project estimates.
  • Provide support to the Asset Focal Point for updating Bilfinger’s Forecast’s / Cost Reports.
  • Excellent Communication with the client during leave periods of the Asset Focal Point.
  • Plan, and monitor the requisition and expedition of all resource requirements including material, equipment and personnel (including subcontractor services) via Bilfinger SAP system.
  • Maintain key communications with offshore teams.
  • Ensure that all operations are reviewed and planned to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices and safety awareness through implementation of the HSEQ Plan, safety campaigns, safety meetings and briefings.
  • Ensure that all equipment and working practices are monitored to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Good communicator that is confident in delivering Pre Mobilisations briefs and liaising with both onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Attends all training and safety courses as requested by line manager or by the company.
  • It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Company’s Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.
