RPS are seeking an experienced drainage technician/team leader for our Waste Water Networks team to lead a 2-person team, carrying out investigation and drain tracing works. This is a permanent role, 40 hours per week with the requirement for early starts, late finishes and Saturday working.The salary is £25k plus overtime, performance bonus, extensive benefits package.A company van, fuel card and smart phone will also be provided for work use.

What You’ll Be Doing
This role will focus on identifying sources of pollution found in local rivers and water courses via the public surface drainage network using various techniques including lift and look sewer tracing, CCTV surveying, residential and commercial surveying and using drain tracing dye.
Who we’re looking for?
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a drainage related role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organised, flexible approach and able to work to deadlines
- A minimum of 2years’ experience in a drainage related role, coupled with the ability to accurately navigate the drainage network using the GIS mapping provided
- Detailed knowledge of both public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems
- Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities
- Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
- Full UK driving licence
- CCTV experience is an advantage
