Laser Operator – Rotating Shifts - Wednesbury
My client is an established and very professional manufacturing company. Currently they are seeking to recruit proven Laser Operator’s to join their business.

Job Details:
  • Full Operation of Adige and Trumpf lasers.
  • Working with production documentation and interpreting customer instructions.
  • Quality checking own work.
  • Using measuring equipment.
  • Labelling and identification of products produced.
  • Loading and offloading of material Inspection of finished parts to drawings.
  • Completion of quality control paperwork/Computerised forms.
  • Check that using correct type and quantity of stock for each job.
  • Recording of production data for sales team during and at the end of each Job via paper job card or on computer.
  • Packing of finished goods to customers specification.
  • In the event of the any machine being down for any amount of time ensure that you carry out housekeeping in the laser bay.
  • Checks that the machinery is in a good condition ensuring that any faults are reported to the shift supervisor.
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures as and when required.
  • Ensure that you are at your machine at changeover time to exchange any information with the next shift Personal protective equipment which must be worn at all times. (hard caps, gloves overalls, safety boots, ear protection and safety glasses where necessary).
Hours:
2 x rotating shifts 6 and to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.
Early finish Fridays - 6am to 12pm and 12pm to 6pm.
Rates of pay are as follows:
Intro - £10.50
Level 1 - £11.90
Level 2 - 13.17
Level 3 - 14.31
Overtime if needed is paid at the following rates:
Weekdays x 1.2
Saturdays x 1.4
Sundays x 2
Pension is applicable after completion of probationary period.
