EF is searching for Language Teachers on the Isle of Wight for the upcoming summer. This would be the perfect job to boost your CV by gaining experience while working in an international company!

In this role you will plan, prepare and deliver the EF academic programme through structured and interactive lessons and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction, while being supported by an experienced academic team.

What will I be doing?

  • In this role, you’ll plan, prepare and deliver the EF academic material through structured and interactive lessons
  • You’ll ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction while being supported by an experienced academic management team

What does my day-to-day look like?

  • Facilitating testing during the course, including scoring tests
  • Lesson planning and preparation before each class
  • Teaching classes every weekday following the EF methodology
  • Classroom management
  • Daily liaising academic team to discuss progress & ongoing lessons
  • Monitoring daily attendance and keeping up to date records and paperwork
  • Attending all teacher meetings
  • Ensuring the EF behaviour code is followed by students at all times and inform management immediately if there are any issues or problems
  • Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise

Who will I be working with?

  • On the Island we deliver both activities and academics to our young travellers. Our team consists of Activity Leaders and Language Teachers supported by an experienced senior management team. We are a mix of both local and international staff with a lot of experience between us!

  • Enthusiastic, organised and a natural leader
  • Responsible, approachable and friendly
  • Have the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Have the right to live and work in the country of employment
  • Complete fluency in English

A TEFL qualification is desirable and EF could provide sponsorship for a TEFL course for the right candidate
