The Business Wide Area and Local Area Networking market is going through a major technology shift. By 2024, over 50% of traditional IP-VPN and LAN networks will have transitioned to Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) technology driven by accelerating cloud adoption, digital transformation, security and cost efficiency initiatives.

The role of the Product Manager for SD-LAN/WAN and WiFi products, such as SD-LAN, Meraki SD-WAN and Complete Connectivity, is to ensure the overall performance of these products in the UK market. Reporting into the Senior Portfolio Lead for WAN Solutions and Connectivity, they will act as a key lead into sales channels, Group and local product development teams and other stakeholders. They will also play a key role capturing channel and local market requirements, priorities and integration requirements to ensure that products are fit for UK markets and that Global products are integrated and function at a market level. They will need to balance multiple (potentially conflicting) priorities and stakeholders to ensure their products are relevant and successful.

What will you be doing?
  • Develop product strategy and work through development teams to ensure product roadmaps are interlocked and prioritised requirements delivered.
  • Align and coordinate launch and go-to-market activities resources and budgets to ensure successful G2M support.
  • Lead on product development teams to ensure effective launch, securing funding via business case, system integration, technology integration etc.
  • Oversee launch activities e.g. marketing, sales enablement, local pricing etc.
  • Manage in-life and end-of-life requirements for products.
  • Track and then manage product targets for market share growth, product revenues, margin and customer service performance for their product.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the performance of the core product across CX, profit and revenue improvement opportunities.
  • The role might flex across different products depending on what stage they’re at in their lifecycle and or be aligned to multiple countries depending on capacity and local maturity/demand etc.

Who are we looking for?
  • Market and customer requirements and insights, able to identify and translate into product requirements and implications for global products (where consumed), working with global product manager.
  • Emphasis on strategy and commercials at a local level for their respective market Sufficient knowledge to interact with local tech teams for local product integration.
  • Able to provide guidance and advice on the technology requirements, platforms, infrastructure and any other technical considerations.
  • Emphasis on resolving conflicting requirements within the business to ensure their respective product gets the focus its needs.
  • Graduate, with minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Agile product development experience (e.g. SAFe, Spotify, Scrum) and qualifications (Preferred).
