This school in Gateshead is seeking to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 3/4 group on a full-time basis.

About the role

The KS2 Teaching Assistant will be providing a mixture of both 1:1 and general support to pupils, some with SEND. Days and hours for this role would be 08:30 – 15:30, Monday – Friday and this will be on a long-term basis.

This is a school with high proportions of SEND pupils, and they are therefore looking for someone who is compassionate and experienced in this area.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full-time, temporary) you will:

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Experience of working within a primary school setting
