Do you have experience with the KS1 curriculum?Do you enjoy supporting young people with learning?Are you looking for a role in North Leeds with great transport links to Leeds/Harrogate/Pontefract?We have a role available that is likely to be what you are looking for!We are working with a successful, thriving and happy community school situated in the beautiful market town of Wetherby, rated ’outstanding’ by Ofsted.The school are looking for someone until Summer 23.Start date: ImmediatePay: £110-£150 / dayWorking hours: Full time hours (Minimum 8.30am – 3.30pm) Term time onlyThe Role
  • Planning and delivering creative lessons in alignment with the KS1 curriculum
  • Building positive relationships with students to facilitate classroom engagement
  • Create a positive classroom environment in which all students feel confident and safe to take risks in their learning
  • Ensuring students with additional needs experience an inclusive classroom environment
  • Working alongside senior leadership to continually drive school standards
  • Maintaining a good level of communicate between the home and the school through regular contact with parents
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupils
  • Be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Hold UK QTS to be considered for this role (Applications from Early Career Teachers welcomed)
  • Have previous teaching experience
  • Have experience working with KS1 pupils
  • Have effective verbal and written communication
  • Experienced use of support staff relevant to the class
  • Contribute to the provision of a safe, secure learning environment
  • Experience and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum is essential
