IKEA has an exciting opportunity to become a Kitchen and Bedrooms Sales Specialist in one of our new Planning & Order Points in PRESTON.

The order point will make IKEA more accessible to our customers.

You will use your expert kitchen/bedrooms knowledge to plan and support your customer through what can be a complex purchase.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

We are looking to build a team of multiskilled co-workers who are self-sufficient and can take responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, an eagerness to learn and will embrace change with a solution-orientated approach to the many challenges and tasks that present themselves. You will have the ambition to grow within IKEA and to help develop others too. In IKEA we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.

We are looking for someone who always puts the customer first and enjoys working as part of a team. You are a natural problem solver and a strong communicator who could handle difficult conversations with customers.

The successful co-workers will be handling all aspects of running a unit from planning to customer service and opening/closing, so if you are motivated and display IKEA’s leadership qualities we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their Kitchen / Bedroom.

• You are always passionate about the range and, curious to find out your customer’s home furnishing needs and to help them solve problems.

• You maximise sales by being proud of your unit, ensuring the customer meets a range presentation that is clean, well presented, and easy to shop.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This role is for a 24-hour contract, full flexibility is required. Role to include working 4 days per week across both weekdays and weekends.

If you are successful, you will be supported through various weeks of training to get you ready for the opening.
