Bursting with character and charm, every inch of this landmark building has been lovingly restored with a few additional touches of modern inspiration along the way.
The Beverley Arms has been welcoming visitors to Yorkshire Wolds for over 200 years. The Georgian coaching inn, located in the medieval town of Beverley, first opened its doors in 1794. The hotel is situated in the town’s Georgian Quarter and opposite the majestic St Mary’s church, famous for a carving of a rabbit in 1335, which is said to have been the inspiration for the March Hare in Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland novel. Originally, the Beverley Arms was a posting house where horses could be changed after their journey on the turnpike road between Beverley and Hull.
