PR Executive

We are looking for a proactive PR Executive to help raise awareness of The House of Daniel Thwaites, our award-winning collective of spa hotels and inns, through supporting our PR activity. You will help generate positive headlines in local, regional and national media, blogs, and on social media.

Working closely with the PR and Media Manager, you will have a passion for writing, communications and relationship building in order to support the work that is being done to raise the profile of our fantastic properties within target media titles. You will also be instrumental in shaping the Influencer Marketing strategy across the portfolio.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Media support - exploring media opportunities to promote The House of Daniel Thwaites and liaising with journalists, bloggers and influencers to forge relationships and arrange press trips to our properties
• News creation and storytelling - researching, writing and issuing press releases and editorial
• Award submissions - identifying and entering relevant industry awards to boost the company’s profile and prestige
• Internal support - managing internal distribution of our press releases and any coverage secured as a result; and supporting any media events when needed
• Database management - being the point of contact for our horse bookings; ensuring our media database and our internal communications database are up to date
• The job may involve occasional weekend and evening work and requires travel to our beautiful properties across the UK

Who are we looking for:

• You will need excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• You will be required to confidently liaise with the media in order to develop positive relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers, so good interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential
• We’re looking for someone with great attention to detail who ideally has one- or two-years’ experience in a PR role with relevant qualifications in Journalism Studies, Public Relations or Communications
• You will have a full, clean driving licence
