What You Will Do

You will achieve significant growth from selective and targeted activity within high growth potential customers. This is achieved by providing customers with personalised account management that supports the needs of their individual job functions as well as supporting the objectives of their wider business to the degree that RS becomes their First-Choice supplier within their supply chain strategy in multiple product categories.

From Managing Directors to site level engineers, you will engage with stakeholders at all levels within our customers business, to understand their challenges and deliver an effective commercial proposition.

You will:

  • Generate incremental revenue whilst protecting existing revenue through creating conversion of sales leads by executing the Group’s strategy, value proposition and strengths to position RS in the market as the first-choice supplier.
  • Providing solutions to meet customer’s needs by the profitable deployment of value-added services
  • Developing a sales pipeline from specification to order
  • Promotion of RS, its services and products
  • Achievement of revenue and margin targets

What Will You Bring To The Role

  • Previous account management experience
  • Personal responsibility, behaving and acting with integrity, trust and respect
  • Ability to manage your time effectively is important as you will split your time working from home, on-site with customers or on-site at one of our RS UK sites
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Strategic thinking, and ability to self-start
  • A proactive and consultative approach to exploring needs and finding innovative solutions for customers
  • The ability to be resourceful and find practical solutions to complex problems
  • Results focused individual with proven achievement
  • Commercial, logical, and people orientated with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be a listener, presenter, and people person.
