Role Description-
We operate across the world on some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable. And as part of our Programme and Project Management team, you’ll play a major part delivering them, taking your career to the next level.

Our team works on a variety of flood defence and adaptation projects and support our clients with the protection and enhancement of environmental matters across England. In addition to Water you will have the opportunity to work on a range of Civil Engineering and Utilities related projects and will be supported to deliver exceptional outcomes.

The sheer size and complexity of projects we are involved with demand a joined-up approach. It’s why you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people around, blending diverse skills, experience and perspectives to deliver transformational outcomes. You’ll need energy, agility and a forensic eye for detail.

Role Accountabilities-

  • A strong understanding of appropriate procedures, processes and operating practices and how these can contribute to delivering successful project and programme outcomes.
  • Plan and carry out assigned project work under the guidance of senior colleagues to deliver defined project outcomes
  • Independently deliver high quality deliverables and polished outputs with minimal guidance.
  • Experience of using and developing business analyst tools such as Visio, Power BI, Dashboarding to drive insightful MI for the project and programme
  • Structure and perform analyses of data and other information to uncover insights that will inform the development of client solutions and proposals
  • Confident in workshop facilitation and preparation of materials (in PowerPoint or other formats) for internal and external stakeholders
  • Present the outcomes of analyses at team and client meetings to ensure that the insights gained are clearly communicated and propose ways in which these may be leveraged to add value
  • Take a proactive role in monitoring and evaluating existing project and programme management processes in order to identify opportunities and provide advice for the improvement of processes and systems
  • Complete complex, professional level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritising activities and interpreting established policies in order to effectively support the wider programme
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide effective leadership to health & safety matters by actively promoting health & safety awareness and ensuring the provision of safe working practices.
Qualifications & Experience-

  • Experience of programme and project delivery environments
  • Knowledge of relevant programme or project management discipline
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
  • Knowledge of own area and a general understanding of wider programme and business
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and system
  • Civil Engineering, Utilities, Water or Infrastructure sector experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Office 365 and business analyst tools
  • Effective consulting skills including project management and client relationship management
  • Desirable- Attainment of OR near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status.
  • Desirable- Relevant Programme Management Accreditation - MSP Foundation, P3O Foundation or equivalent
