Cotton Traders is a multi-channel business based in Altrincham and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Assistant Merchandiser to join our team.

If you have already started on your career within Merchandising, have at least 1 years experience under your belt and are ready for the next step why not apply to join the team.

As we are a multi-channel retailer so you will get involved in managing stocks for catalogues, stores as well as online. The role is diverse but if you have a passion for retailing then this may be the perfect role for you

The Key Accountabilities Of The Role Will Be

As a Junior Assistant Merchandiser the main purpose of the role will be to support the category Merchandiser in dealing with all aspects of garment related stock control but also to have responsibility for your own sub category.
  • Sales forecasting for stores, web and catalogues,
  • The ordering and delivery of stock to the warehouse.
  • Accurate maintenance of online pricing
  • Producing reports and analysing weekly and seasonal sales and stock data.
  • Working closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams.
There are also some core basics to being one of our Junior Assistant Merchandisers. The successful candidate will ideally:
  • Have a minimum of 1 years previous merchandising experience in a Retail or Home Shopping Head Office environment.
  • Possess strong numeracy and literacy skills with proven experience of using MS Office computer packages, particularly Excel.
  • Show excellent analytical skills and a highly organised approach to work.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
