• The IT Operations function provides the foundation of IT services to Holland and Barrett customers by ensuring products are delivered to customers on time, and customers can access new services.
• Key services have been enhanced by providing resilient infrastructure in the cloud, improving availability to reduce impact to trade.
• The IT Operations team are investing heavily in building internal capabilities from a new Service Desk and Proactive Monitoring teams to expanding its Delivery capabilities in delivering million pounds infrastructure and Back Office projects.
• Tech teams are undergoing a diverse range of technical training programme aimed at providing colleagues opportunity to develop their technical and leadership skills and support their career aspirations.
  

Responsibilities

The Senior Delivery Manager will be an integral part of the IT Operations Function within H&B (Holland & Barrett) where key responsibilities include

• Working in close collaboration with ‘Infrastructure Teams, business stakeholders and technology partners to understand and implement relevant technical & process change.
• Deliver best in class solutions that are relevant to business need
• Ensure that security adherence remains key to implementation
• Be responsible in articulating and managing change, taking an holistic approach to project delivery, with change impact assessment in mind at all times, engaging multi-disciplinary teams where required for a smooth transition
• Managing the project lifecycle, from requirement through to implementation to ‘Live’ and ‘BAU ‘
• Deliver great employee experience through the choice and delivery of technologies and by developing close working relationships with colleagues across the company.
• Review, create and identify roadmaps and programme of work in line with business and tech strategy plan.
  

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver Infrastructure projects using best practices from project management frameworks that ensure a consistent and efficient lean project delivery.
• Deliver projects on time, to budget, scope & quality whilst maintaining agility
• Take ownership for the project(s) undertaken, defining resourcing profile, roles, and responsibilities.
• Drive and track project milestones managing interdependencies and prioritisation to optimise efficiency
• Manage the project budget, tracking commercial spend and contribute to cost savings
• Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Manage meeting cadence with clear leadership and direction.
• Create and drive resolution/mitigation for risks and issues, maintaining a project RAID register.
• Prepare cutover plan and transition to support team. Ensure projects are smoothly transitioned into business-as-usual service.
• Contribute to definition of the solutions roadmap and portfolio management.
• Engage and work with other technology areas to elicit business requirements, identify efficiencies and deliver integrated solutions.
• Collaboratively work with colleagues from inside and outside of IT, support and serve as a role model to wider teams.
• Develop an understanding of the business, strategy and priorities as well as maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Escalate and help resolve supplier performance issues and ensure that contractual commitment and SLAs are measured and improved where required.
• Use data as evidence to help drive performance and identify wider improvement initiatives
  

Professional Qualifications And Experience

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience of delivering technical projects including creation and ownership of driving project plans to budget.
• Must be someone who has been through the cycle from 1st to 3rd line support and subsequently moved into project management.
• Demonstrate can work in waterfall, agile and hybrid frameworks
• Be able to Manage risks, issues, and dependencies
• Experience in structuring and presenting comprehensible project reports and updates to stakeholders and customers in an insightful way
• Acquires wider business commercial acumen as well as at a project level where effective budget management is demonstrated through change controls
• Experienced in supplier management
• Be equipped with knowledge of how to implement process improvement as well as system implementation.
• Demonstrate use of collaboration tools to connect cross functional teams e.g. Miro, Confluence, Slack
• Ability to translate functional/non-functional requirements to technical specifications. Work with solution architects, security engineers, development engineers to deliver technical project assets
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to influence operational efficiencies
• Experience in working in a DevOps environment
• Excellent knowledge of Office 365, Jira, Confluence
• Relevant Project Management Qualifications such as PMP, Prince2 or Agile are desirable
• UK Travel expected between Holland and Barrett locations, such as Nuneaton Head Office, London, and Burton sites etc when required but remote working is the normal practice
