Senior Marine Claims Adjuster

London

Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a highly regarded Lloyd’s Syndicate with a very strong global reputation.

The successful candidate will handle a portfolio of Marine Claims from first notification to timely and accurate resolution, ranging from lower complexity to Major Loss events.

This is an exciting opportunity that will place the candidate in a leading position within the Lloyd’s Market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling Marine Claims, allocated within an agreed authority limit.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Underwriters and other relevant business stakeholders within the region.
  • Supporting more senior Major Loss Adjusters in the handling of larger, more complex claims as needed.
  • Supporting the UK Head of Marine Claims in claims performance orientated tasks and reporting.
  • Providing technical guidance and coaching to more junior members of the global Marine Claims Handling team.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Feedback of claims trend analysis to team and internal stakeholders.
  • Attending claims reviews and travelling as needed.
  • Assisting with managing the day-to-day operational relationship/quality assurance issues.
  • Providing training and presentations to both internal and external audiences.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience of handling Marine Claims.
  • Strong knowledge of legal Iregulatory and litigation Iprocedural requirements specific to Marine Insurance.
  • Experience of managing Lawyers, Surveyors, experts and legal spend.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge and experience of market IT systems, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications.
