Overview:
We are currently have an opportunity available for an experience PMO Lead to join our business.

As PMO Lead, you will join a proactive and engaging team, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives related to global business transformation. You will be responsible for establishing a Gallagher Re PMO function within our Global Projects team and lead activities to maintain effective project, resource, and finance management processes, cross programme delivery dependencies, application of tools & templates, governance and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide full PMO to support the Transformation Board at portfolio, program and project level
  • Use of core PMO skills in relation to Project, Resource and Financial Management including forecasting
  • Support Annual Change Investment Planning process as part of the Annual Budget Cycle
  • Apply PMO practices and processes ensuring consistent use of governance framework, standards and controls, methodology and tools to support effective delivery and decision making
  • Ability to support consistent triage process of new ideas as part of the portfolio pipeline
  • Drives oversight of the agreed tollgates including a governance, process and relevant documentation
  • Liaison with Re Tech to support presentation to e.g. SARB, TDA, Connect2Tech for solution review
  • Drive adoption of Project Management governance, processes, controls, tools, and templates
  • Ensure robust resource planning, management, and periodic reporting, incl. adherence to HR processes
  • Drive financial management process, ensuring controls were embedded and adhered to.
  • Liaise will Finance, who owns monthly financial reporting and financials as part of lifecycle tollgates.
  • Analyse and maintain the overview of dependencies across the portfolio and projects
  • Support portfolio risk and issue view (ERM template, Heat Map, escalated risks, and mitigation efforts)
  • Analysis of lessons learned to identify and drive continuous improvement actions
  • Support PV project set up, tracking and maintenance and of milestone planning, RAID log, resources in PlanView (including timesheet reporting in Planview), and reporting at project and portfolio level
  • Management of Planview tool user set up and usage, including best practice and training coordination
  • Support for maintenance/revision of Tools, Processes & Templates, including coordination with wider AJG PMO stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • PMO experience leading programmes in large, global organisations
  • Business transformation experience is essential
  • Experienced working within a PMO function within financial services (insurance industry preferable)
  • Significant experience of delivering PMO to a successful Transformation Portfolio, involving Data & Tech
  • Strong PMO experience at both Portfolio, program and project level
  • Proven Governance and Reporting experience (RAID, status, and periodic reconciliation)
  • Experienced in Risk & Change Management and escalation procedures in a project and portfolio context
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Proficient in the use of project, resource and financial planning tools and templates (e.g. planview)
  • Problem-solver with the ability to identify and deliver solutions on issues.
  • Effective manager of stakeholders from different functional areas
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong verbal, written and technical communication skills essential
  • Cultural awareness and able to adapt style and approach
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Must be able to work independently to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
