Willis Re is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst with extensive experience in Reinsurance.The role is within the Actuarial and Financial Analytics team supporting broking, analytics and pricing within the APAC region.

The Role

  • Reinsurance treaty pricing for property and casualty lines
  • Structuring and optimisation of reinsurance programmes
  • Using appropriate techniques and theoretical principles to determine an appropriate method of data collection and research methodology
  • Liaise with stakeholders and build strong relationships by communicating effectively, internally and externally, to maximise service delivery levels
  • Explain complex concepts in simple terms and make recommendations to clients/client servicing teams
  • Analytics for tenders and ad-hoc projects
  • Database management, benchmarking and visualisation


The role is extremely varied and is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain exposure to different types of business in different countries and have a variety of responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.

The Requirements

  • Highly driven individual with strong academics and great communication and presentational skills
  • Partially or fully qualified actuary with several years of professional reinsurance experience.
  • Extensive relevant experience in reinsurance
  • Experience of Property & Casualty reinsurance pricing as well as capital and regulatory concepts
  • Previous experience with long-tail lines of business,
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft office products and database handling
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information and formulate recommendations on issues such as future trends and improved efficiency
