A Lloyd’s Syndicate have an exciting new opportunity for a Reinsurance Manager. There will be lots of scope for long term career progression and this role would suit a motivated Reinsurance candidate with prior Reinsurance Purchasing exposure. Our client are searching for an experienced Reinsurance individual to join their growing team and business. Reporting into the Exec team, you will be responsible for oversight and execution of successful treaty placements to support of their underwriting operations. You will work with the team to set their strategy for for the business for Reinsurance and capital.


The Role:

  • Principle point of contact with their outwards RI brokers.
  • Develop and manage relationships with reinsurance brokers and reinsurance markets to facilitate placements, execution of contract wording, timely claims payments and gain market intelligence.
  • Manage relationships with new and existing markets
  • Help define and develop reinsurance and capital strategy.
  • Working with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims and others as appropriate to review reinsurance requirements, analyse structure alternatives and influence Reinsurance purchasing
  • Creating pitch presentations for Syndicate Capital providers,
  • Work with Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial and Claims to gather data to assist in reinsurance submission preparation
  • Ensure legally compliant drafting of reinsurance contract wordings
  • Evaluate treaty reinsurance quotations; negotiate transaction to support business requirements.
  • Coordinating the availability of documents and timing for claims, underwriting, transactional, and Ceded Re audits as well as audits performed by external auditors.
  • Coordinate release of Reinsurance statements
  • Coordinate and track execution of contract wordings to full completion and maintain electronic filing archive.
  • Summarize Treaty Terms and Schematics.
  • Stay current with industry issues and developments.
  • Sign off and validate data
