IT Technician Band 3 to 4 (dependent on knowledge & experience) full time permanent post

This post will be based in the Health Informatics Department at Chestnut View, Woodfield Park, Doncaster. The post holder will be required to travel throughout the Trust including to Rotherham, Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

The post holder will work closely with the Field Support Manager, Service Desk Manager and Technical Support Officers providing 1st and 2nd tier technical support which will involve updating and managing incidents within the IT Service Desk, Field, IT Clinics and Installation teams. The post holder will be responsible for investigating reported faults, maintaining communications and liaising with users to effect appropriate repairs and achieving a satisfactory conclusion to faults within designated timescales and quality of service standards. The post holder is also required to analyse IT problems and design, test, document and implement appropriate solutions.

The successful applicant will have will have the ability to deliver high quality IT Support with an excellent knowledge of desktop operating systems and software with the confidence and ability to effectively communicate complex information to users at all levels of the hierarchy and with differing skill sets.
