Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.

We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.

The Role:
Avove is growing and we need a IT Support Analyst to join our team! You will be responsible for 1st and 2nd line support of infrastructure solutions across our business and the administration of laptop deliveries for all starters, leavers and new orders.

The role offers a hybrid of home and office working including regular office days, to receive and despatch hardware, and an adhoc need to visit contract sites around the UK, as part of the installation and support of network equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the 800 business colleagues with first and second line software, hardware (laptops and mobiles) and connectivity (network and telecoms) issues (500 laptops, 800 tablets/phones, 17 locations) alongside the other IT Support Analysts
  • Interact with colleagues to log, update, resolve and close issues, and accurately record tickets, in our ServiceDesk software (Fresh).
  • Coordinate the receipt and despatch of laptops to new starters, and from leavers, from the Chorley site including associated courier and user coordination.
  • Raise purchase orders for peripherals and receipt deliveries as needed.
  • Work with the IT support Manager and other IT analysts to continually improve the IT support processes of the Avove infrastructure platforms.
  • Maintain the availability and reliability of the Avove infrastructure estate
  • Write and maintain documentation to include monthly reports, site information spreadsheets, user guides, etc.
Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of, certifications in, or willingness to work to attain certifications or similar in, Meraki, MS365, Azure, Windows10 in a Cloud AD environment is desirable
  • Analytical mindset, problem solver able to understand potentially complex processes and make sense of them.
  • Good (clear and accurate) verbal and written communication with friendly and confident manner
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with Windows 10 in a Cloud AD environment is desirable
  • Day to day management of an ITSM Ticketing tool and associated asset data (both hardware and software) ideally Fresh
  • Accurate execution of orders and laptop shipping in line with process
