About the role

In order to support a rapidly growing function, we have a great opportunity for an IT Security Assurance Lead to join the NFU Mutual Security Assurance team, where you’ll facilitate the development, implementation and improvement of our IT Security controls.

As an IT Security Assurance Lead, you’ll drive this maturing Cyber Security function and monitor effective risk management activities across our IT Security Service. Through effective governance, you’ll manage and mitigate risk exposure, while ensuring compliance with Group and regulatory requirements. Using your expertise to develop our IT Security Controls, you’ll enhance our privileged access management approach by analysing information and processes, assessing key indicators and supporting Board level reporting.

This role is based in our Ryon Hill office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. About you:

An experienced IT professional, you proactively manage teams and projects within an IT security environment. You confidently perform risk and control-based reviews within the security space and have a good understanding of ISO 27001 and/or other security standards such as ISF Standard of Good Practice and NIST frameworks. On top of this, you’re a strong communicator with excellent relationship building and influencing skills. To join our team, you’ll also have:

  • An Information Technology and/or Information Security related degree, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Recognised Information Security certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC, to support practitioner experience (desirable).
  • Management of Risk qualification at certificate level or similar risk management accreditation, or equivalent industry experience, such as CRISC (security related desirable).
