Our people are passionate about developing the low-carbon energy systems of the future and acting against climate change.Location: Sunderland, Durham, London or EdinburghSalary: Competitive plus benefitsContract Type: Full TimeClosing Date: 14th July 2023What’s the scope of the role?As the IT Project Manager, your role will be to support a growing IT function within EDF Renewables responsible for providing IT services across the EDF Renewables business.You will drive project delivery of technically complex solutions in line with business needs, ensure governance and standards are maintained, stakeholders are engaged and progress is effectively tracked and reported on.What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day.- You will manage and drive the delivery of technically complex projects across the business, covering areas such as IT infrastructure, networks, upgrades and enhancements and software delivery.
- Utilising industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- You will follow the EDF project delivery methodology ensuring standards and governance are in place and adhered to.
- You will build and lead a collaborative project delivery team ensuring the correct technical and business resources and third parties are fully engaged and committed to the project.
- Part of your role will be to Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective and efficient design and implementation of solutions.
- You will provide project updates on a consistent basis to various audiences reporting on progress, risks and issues.
- You will ensure project artefacts are complete, up to date and correctly stored.
- Using your project management skills, you will manage risks and issues throughout project delivery and keep a track on project budget and costs.
- You will be confirming sign offs and approvals are appropriately sought and evidenced.
- You will have a minimum of 5 years experience, managing multiple concurrent IT projects, with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and technologies.
- You will have good knowledge of IT Service Delivery and a proven track record in managing the full project lifecycle including mobilisation, design, development, testing, deployment and acceptance into service.
- Your experience should include working with a diverse sets of stakeholders to agree solutions that meet a range of business demands.
- Along with good written, verbal and presentation skills, you will have strong problem solving skills, and be able to show initiative.
- Experience of working in both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies would be an advantage, as would having a formal project management qualification.
