The Opportunity

We are looking for a new IT infrastructure Manager who will be in charge of implementation, operation and support of the Samworth Brothers technology infrastructure

Leading a team of infrastructure professionals and third parties across engineering, delivery and support, you will have accountability for all infrastructure services including network and telephony, hosting and server infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), infrastructure applications and end user computing.

Your team will also be responsible for continuously improving technical delivery within Samworth Brothers, ensuring that appropriate methodology is used, and suitable reporting and processes in place.

Effective stakeholder engagement and management is instrumental to success at Samworth Brothers Group and therefore the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across every Division at Samworth Brothers, is a crucial component of this role.

In this role you will be:

• Defining and owning a Samworth Brothers infrastructure service strategy
• Managing internal and third-party resources as required
• work with the architecture team in the development of the architectural roadmap for infrastructure services
• Ensuring all infrastructure services are managed and supported
• Ensuring all 3rd line customer infrastructure support tickets are resolved/fulfilled in line with OLA
• Ensuring that all infrastructure components are managed to the appropriate level of risk
• Proactively seeking service improvements
• Overseeing the effective transition of new or updated infrastructure services
• Ensuring effective DR/BCP plans exist to deliver the required RPOs and RTOs
• Working closely with other IT Operations and IT Delivery teams
• Recruiting, leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of direct reports
• Managing all third-party supplier contracts for infrastructure services
• Owning and managing the OPEX budgets for infrastructure services and solutions
• Providing periodic reporting and management information on infrastructure delivery initiatives, operational KPIs and budget management.

• Proven Experience experience working in an IT infrastructure capability, with the majority in a management position.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong two-way relationships with key business and IT stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams and multitask.
• Strong, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present ideas and technical solutions in user-friendly language
• Experience of delivering IT change
• Experience in delivery and management of a variety of infrastructure technologies including but not limited to, Server, Client, Storage, Networking and Security.
• Demonstrate ability to co-ordinate team and project activity, including operating with external partners
• IT financial management expeirence
• Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies
• IT Process knowledge and understanding of service delivery and management (ITIL)
