Adecco Recruitment are working in partnership with Sunseeker International and are currently recruiting for an IT Desktop Support Technician to join their busy teams based in Poole.

The Job

The IT Desktop Support Technician will provide front-line support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software and peripherals. The successful candidate will require an aptitude for following a methodical approach to desktop deployment and asset management working in conjunction with the service desk. The role will require a hands on approach and will require traveling between sites.


Example Responsibilities include:

  • Logging service desk requests, taking ownership of, and working pro-actively on support queries as part of the service desk

  • Installing, configuring and supporting computer hardware, operating systems and applications according to the IT department business standards

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone

  • Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software

  • Liaising with external suppliers to resolve technical faults and repairs of equipment

  • Ensure Documentation and service desk notes are kept up-to-date and accurate

  • Provide maintenance to ensure good performance of systems

  • Responsible for maintaining the IT build area and ensuring stock is monitored and reported to the service desk

The ideal candidate:



  • Has experience supporting Windows Operating Systems and Network Infrastructure

  • Has an understanding of Microsoft Office Applications, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP and Apple smartphones

  • Is able to make sound and logical judgments

  • Has a strong customer service orientation



Competitive Salary to be discussed on registration

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
