Vision Independent Financial Planning is a dynamic, established, financial advice network, founded and based in Cornwall.Having been founded 13 years ago by just two advisers and their wives, we pride ourselves on having retained a real family feel, throughout all areas of our business, despite our rapid growth. We are looking for an IT Systems Officer to join the busy IT department in our award-winning Head Office team. Having recently won an award for the Best Financial Advisers to Work For 2024 at the Professional Adviser Awards, we are extremely proud of the culture we have created.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and thrive whilst working in a busy office environment, with the ability to adapt to ever changing workload requirements.

The successful applicant will be based in our head office in Falmouth. The role will consist of acting as a central point of contact for users on a day to day basis, as well as a focal point for users to report incidents and service. To propose, implement and maintain systems in line with best practice and IT governance. To support Vision’s national team of IFA’s in guidance with systems, technical support, procedures and recommendations.

Responsibilities & expectations

  • IT Systems Officer – local and remote users
  • Support of email and phone systems
  • Maintain printers, scanners and other IT peripherals
  • User account management
  • Security groups management
  • Network administration
  • Monitor computers and software
  • Asset tracking

Key skills

  • Customer focused with great active listening skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under time pressure to specific deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365
  • Willing to learn and develop within an IT environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Apprenticeship:

The candidate will complete an 18 month, level 3 apprenticeship.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £14,000 per annum.
