IT and Business Support Technician

The successful candidate will join an innovative market leading specialist distributor of control based in Rushden.

They are looking for an ambitious IT Technician to aid them during a huge period of growth.

You will gain exposure to the latest Microsoft technologies and have the opportunity to progress very quickly into a senior position, as well as the opportunity to join the new infrastructure team, where the potential for growth is huge.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd Line IT Support
• Prepare computer hardware, operating systems and applications
• Maintain IT systems documentation and user guides
• Support the creation of user accounts and profiles
• Support the role out of new applications
• Prioritise and manage the workload, updating the internal tracking systems
• Respond to requests within a reasonable time period
• Manage the Asset Management system
• Provide reports to the IT & Business Support Manager
• Support the existing IT systems and infrastructure
• Review/liaise with the 3rd party IT team regarding outstanding tickets and projects

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT environment
• Experience with Office 365, Azure and Active Directory
• Familiarity with IT Resources and Asset Management
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals
• Understanding of security products and the cyber threat landscape
• Ability to challenge and propose alternatives
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to strive for improvement

Salary:

They offer a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience
