Overview

A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management (WM) is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients’ needs. The Asset and Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM’s data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business. The AWM CDO is positioned in the AWM Operations division, within AWM Center reporting to the AWM Chief Operational Officer (COO). We work with the AWM Business & Technology teams as well as the Firmwide CDO team to deliver robust platforms and effective operating models to ensure sound management of our data.

Role Description

  • Working within the CDO who are focusing on the international private bank (IPB) data strategy and support for the Digital and Data Transformation Agenda.
  • One of the key multi-year programmes that the team is supporting is IPB Platform Modernisation
  • The chief data office need to participate in several of the squads that have been created to deliver different parts of the program
  • The primary objective is to manage ensure that business process and architecture design across the various workstreams deliver in a way that allow us to achieve the goals of IPB’s Data Strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with other squad members from Technology , Operations and various Business areas to ensure that the new platform achieves a best in class data architecture
  • Ensure that any AWM or Firmwide data governance and standards are met (e.g. Data Use, Data Lineage, Data Discovery, Business Term Definitions, Logical Data Models etc.)
  • Identify and manage any interdependencies that may arise with projects in flight on existing infrastructure
  • Prepare presentations and materials for stakeholder reviews, project team meetings and leadership reviews
  • Manage partnerships with key stakeholders including, Operations, Technology, Business Managers and Advisors

Qualifications
  • Ability to work well and engage with a remote team
  • Ability to think strategically but acting tactically where necessary to deliver business value
  • Knowledge of client data and related data privacy rules
  • Previous experience in deploying enterprise data architecture and data governance
  • Ability to work effectively and build strong relationships with teams across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to dive into details and synthetize information for executive communication
  • Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project);
  • Experience of foundational Data sets (Party, Account, instrument etc) would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with extracting manipulating and visualization of complex data sets beneficial - e.g. using Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik
