As a Barclays iOS Developer, you will be involved in architecture level design, technical re-engineering, production issues analysis and resolution and end to end development of the new Features and Functions that are required by the business. You will be developing solutions for channels and projects delivered in Barclays UK Technology consisting of variety of technology platforms, hence decision making and problem solving skills are really important aspect of the role.

What will you be doing?

  • Producing clean efficient code based on specifications and developing components from UI to back end using modern languages and techniques
  • Providing technical support on non-functional testing, especially, performance engineering covering triage
  • Collaborating with team members on best practices and embracing agile methodologies to rapidly iterate solutions
  • Driving innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
  • Promoting and driving stewardship and application of best practices within the development team
  • Championing innovation for improving customer satisfaction, achieving technical excellence and improving the delivery of a software product
  • Identifying own and others development needs and seek opportunities to address these needs through guidance, coaching and formal training

What We’re Looking For

  • Expertise in Swift & iOS development
  • Solid knowledge in mobile software development best practice – automation testing, UI & Unit testing
  • Expert knowledge of iOS UI/UX design principles, patterns and best practices
  • Proficiency in secure application development practices

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience in Agile development
  • Experience on Jenkin, JIRA, Sonar, JUnits, Intellij, GIT, FisyEye
  • Passionate about building great solutions

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
