About the role


Balfour Beatty have an exciting opportunity for a Investment Analysis Manager to join our growing team in London


What you’ll be doing


Key Responsibility’s

  • Assist in preparation of the year end valuation
  • Assist with sales of investment, including agreeing internal valuations, and running market auction competitions with potential investors operational assets
  • Analysis of performance of the operational business to drive value improvements in cash flow generation
    • Assisting the operational concession businesses on the broad range of project finance issues that arise including; refinancing, reporting to funders and rating agencies, variations, distributions, disputes, statutory changes, accounting and tax, payment mechanisms etc
  • Ad-hoc support and modelling for bids and support for the preparation of investment committee papers
  • Opportunity to progress once proven into leading the financing of bids and leading asset sales processes

Who we’re looking for

Professional Profile, Skills and Experience:
  • Graduate, with a reasonable period working in a professional environment
  • Outstanding written skills and grammar
  • Advanced Excel skills, with a desire to learn complex financial modelling in excel
  • Accounting and finance knowledge, with a possibility of studying for CFA, ACA or similar
Personal Characteristics:
  • Highly numerate, ability to reason mathematically
  • Must be proactive, Self-motivated and able to bring original thought
  • Able to grasp complex tasks, clarify as necessary and own the task through to completion
  • Good inter-personal skills
  • Effective communication skills, including writing and spoken to peers, senior management and non-technical colleagues.
  • Good at working under pressure and able to strike the right balance between taking the initiative and working individually, and consulting with others when problems/challenges arise
  • Must be flexible and must be able to complete priority tasks to a high standard on schedule
  • Mobility – Whilst not essential initially, a willingness and ability to travel internationally for short periods of time is essential. There may be opportunities for international secondments (most likely to North America) in the future.
