Our Balfour Beatty Highwaysbusiness has a terrific opportunity for an Engineering Managerfor our A66, Northern Trans Pennine Improvements scheme, near Penrith.

As an Engineering Manager,you will provide engineering and design management, strong leadership and control of a multi-disciplinary team comprising engineering resources at project level. Ensure full design integration between all design disciplines is achieved.

Facilitate strong links with other teams within and external to the project to ensure the efficient delivery of the Project.

Support the overall engineering strategy for the business and BB clients. Engage with the Supply Chain, Clients, Designers and other framework Delivery Partners to maximise knowledge share to provide efficiencies that will assist the National Highways in achieving the National Highways Roads Delivery Programme.

Utilise engineering team specialists to provide on-site training for new recruits/site engineers.

You will have the following:

• Degree or HND qualified in Civil Engineering
• Holding a valid UK Driving license
• CSCS/SMSTS
• Civils/Highways projects experience
• Proven record in managing and leading teams
• Strong leadership skills, able to manage a team of 20+ staff
• Be within a reasonable commutable distance of A66, Penrith area
