Inventory Controller

The Ooni team is expanding and we are looking for a smart, hard-working individual to join our close-knit team as an Inventory Controller. We need someone with experience in inventory management and a passion for precision to work with our Operations team to coordinate stock levels and planning all over the world.

The job:

• You will be a key part of the Ooni Ops team, playing a central role in fundamentally making sure we have got the right amount of pizza ovens, in the right places, at the right time to keep our customers happy and making amazing pizzas the world over!
• We sell the world over, through multiple channels, and through multiple locations - variety is the spice of life after all (Basil is the herb of pizza life), and EVERYONE deserves great pizza!
• You’ll play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining inventory demand forecasts and supply management plans to ensure inventory efficiency is maximised and inventory outages are minimised.
• You’ll work closely with our awesome Sales team to ensure relevant client forecasts are submitted and taken account of in order to understand the resulting demand and supply requirements.
• You’ll provide clear recommendations on a monthly basis of the required orders necessary to keep supplying the demand, taking into account order lead times and shipping timelines.
• You’ll draft order pipelines / forecasts for our key suppliers so they know what we are planning in our quest for pizza domination.
• You will monitor and take ownership of ensuring accurate inventory data within the Ooni SAP system and external 3PL warehouse partner WMS systems, including month end reconciliations to ensure they match up as perfectly as mozzarella and tomato sugo.
• You’ll create, summarise and deliver reports with data taken from Ooni’s SAP system and external partners’ sources.
• You’ll coordinate annual / cyclical inventory counts, and reconcile stock variances.

Apply if you:

• Have solid knowledge and experience - 2+ years experience in a Stock & Inventory based role,
• In particular, experience in managing forecasting.
• Experience with ERP inventory management systems (SAP Business By Design, Net Suite or similar).
• Kick-ass Excel skills.
• Are highly organised with attention to detail
• Have the ability to work independently and manage workload
• Have excellent communication and people skills
• Have the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships
• Are hard working and efficient
• Are calm under pressure - our pizza ovens are hot, our people stay cool.

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of freight and logistics
• Retail or ecommerce experience
• EDI system knowledge
• Experience in E-Commerce platforms
• IT skills (database management, software development)
• Degree in logistics / supply chain management
